Kmart Clearance: Summer & Pool Toys...

about the good deals she got at Kmart recently.

She got $248 dollars in summer fun for $34.21!!

I was in my Kmart last week and didn't notice summer toys on clearance, have to admit I wasn't really looking (but should have been with the "new to us" pool that we're getting-more about that soon), but they did have several carts out front as kind of a sidewalk sale- most of it still overpriced in my book. When I got in the store I found better deals... tank tops with scarves for $2, a summer outfit for my little guy $3, and they had a few toys marked way down they were offering 50% off of the discounted price on.

Like Lissa... I find that you have to scan everything that looks like it might be discounted at Kmart. Often times they are less than they are marked! Thanks Lissa for reminding us to be alert for seasonal deals!

I'll definately be back looking for the summer items :)

Kmart is having a big sale on a lot of their storage solutions. I bought a shelving unit today that I've been wanting for my little guys room for some time. The unit itself was 10% off and the drawers 50% off.

Many of the SuperKmart stores are doubling coupons again this week... up to $2 coupons! That makes a $2 coupon worth a whopping $4!
To see if your store is participating, check your local flier or go to Kmart.com and check the front page of your local ad there.

Unfortunately, mine is not a Super Kmart and doesn't look to be participating so I don't have any info on great buys to be found. I did find a list of possible deals here for you if you are looking for deals.

Don't forget about the spend $50, get a $25 Kmart gift card & the $5/$50 coupon you get if you sign up for their email list.
Make sure your final total is at least $50 if you want to get in on the gift card deal!

Get a $20 gift card for any new or transferred prescriptions
from 2/22-3/7/09 with this coupon.

Rx coupons are a great way to get free money for your grocery and household items. Only do it if you know you can keep track of where your Rx's are.

Keep in mind that some stores will honor a competitor's coupon. If you can't go to your local Kmart for you Rx's, maybe your CVS or Walgreens will honor the coupon for you.

I went in because she had mentioned the clearance looking more for clothing for my little guy than myself. I did find myself 2 tops, but my main haul was for my 3 yr old son.

Disney Outfits!

I found several licensed Disney outfits, both shirt and pants, for $4.99 each!! I only got 2 Disney outfits because I wasn't sure if they would fit next year... we usually have to separate outfits because my son is so long and lean most pants are too big around when the shirts fit. They also had a limited selection of sizes that would work for him.

I did find 2 sets, not Disney, that were also clearanced for $5.99, they're pictured at the top of the post.

They had some Disney fleece pullovers & jackets for $4.99, I had a hard time deciding which I liked best but knew I would need something warm come fall and he loved Tiger at DisneyWorld!

If you decide to go check out the clearance yourself, go to the Kmart website first and sign up for their emails. They'll sent you a coupon in an email for $5 off of $50 just for signing up... don't miss out on the extra savings!

Kmart Doubles!!! 1/4-1/10....

It has been confirmed that all Kmart stores
are said to be doubling coupons this week!

Most fliers don't mention the sale, so call to confirm that your store is participating to avoid any headache or heartache.

They have changed the playing rules on this now, so not as great a deal as before, especially with their usually high regular prices. But there are some to be found... if I come across some myself, I will post them for you.

The new rules....

Coupons of up to $1 will be doubled.
Limit of 25 coupons per person per day.

It's a good idea to call ahead to see if your store is participating, or if you want to be sure, email corporate here and give them the location of the store you are asking about.

They have been good in recent sales of letting people know if a store should be. If you do get an email from corporate stating that a store is participating, print the email and take it with you to verify the deal!

Also.... don't forget to sign up for their emails and get 2 coupons and get 2 $5/$5 coupons emailed to you that you could possibly combine with this sale. You sign up here

Most Kmart stores are honoring the sale this time. Use any coupons valued at up to $2 and they will double the value of the coupon, making a $1 coupon worth $2, and a $2 coupon worth $4, etc. There are lots of great deals to be had.

Some have noted that if the item is less than the coupon, the coupon will not double. For example.. the item is $3.98 and you have a $2 coupon, the coupon may not double to $4 or the coupon may not take the $3.98 off, only $2.
Some have noted this as a problem, others have not had the problem... watch at the registers.

Don't be bashful about saying you don't want an item because the coupon didn't take the amount off that you expected! I have done it several times and it's not usually too difficult for the cashier to void an item and set it aside. People change their minds all the time at the register for various reasons.

I went in without any idea what I was looking for, so I did alright. I had looked at some of the posts others had given about their finds this week but decided to go on my own because I just knew if I was prepared, everything that I had a coupon pulled for would be gone.

Several things were gone, but I did find some things to stock up on... and I was in desperate need for some shampoo- which I was able to get!!

I signed up for their emails & got a $5 off of $50 coupon which I used today. Sign up for your own here.

Kmart Doubles!!!

Many Kmart stores are doing Super Doubling
again this week Oct 26-Nov 1.

If you haven't heard about this yet, here are the details...

Any manufacturer coupon valued at $2 or less will be doubled at participating stores. You can only use 4 like coupons There is a limit of 75 coupons per person per day at each store. Overage will not be given. Internet coupons will not be accepted to double for this promotion. Some stores will not double coupons that say do not double even if they start with a 5 (coupons at most stores will still double if the first number by the barcode starts with a 5)


Check with your local Kmart to find out if it is included in this promotion. Several have reported that their store didn't advertise the promotion but have taken in a flier from another store that talks of the promotion. Some managers are honoring it after seeing the other stores flier. You can also email Kmart at Custrel@customerservice.sears.com to find out if your store is participating. They need your state, city and zip code.
This is said to be a complete list, but I'm not sure if the source is valid.

Many items are free or at a steep discount with this promotion. Several have posted the deals. You can find some of them here at Saving Money Ideas and here at Common Sense with Money.

I haven't yet been, going tomorrow!! This is the first time I have participated in this promotion so we'll see how it goes. I'm looking forward to it... wish me luck.
