I just heard about this, and think in today's world it's not an entirely crazy idea. In fact, if you have a child that loves a stranger or is prone to wandering... this could be a weight off your shoulders.
I typically carry a recent photo of my son with me all the time and most of his information for just an event as this. I'm getting ready to have him carry some form of I.D. on him wherever he goes as well... something my mom taught me that I still do to this day.. Thanks mom! So... this might not be for everyone, but certainly something to think about!
InstantAmber is a service you can subscribe to that keeps all of your child's vital information and pictures together in one place in the case of the unthinkable happening... a child's disappearance.
In the event of such a situation, the information is available to law enforcement with in moments, rather than the time it would take you to gather it and for the local law enforcement. InstantAmber.com delivers critical information and photos to police in a missing child emergency. Think of the time this would save especially if you were away from home!
InstantAmber is currently offering a 30 day trial of their service, which gives you a chance to get familiar with the service and decide if it's right for your child/family.
Cost is $29.95 a year & they have an area on their website where you can give this as a gift as well. Want to protect your grandchild?
May is National Child Safety Awareness Month
Reminds me of the television quote from years ago (at about my bedtime)...
Do you know where your children are?
It's so important these days!!
