This is a simple little tip to make life a little easier...
I made muffins the other day and on the box it said to use an ice cream scoop to fill the paper cups.... I'd never thought to do that before, but thought I'd give it a try. What would it hurt if it didn't work?
I actually found it to be much easier than using a spoon! Not so much drippage and the scoop holds more than even a tablespoon, so less work altogether.
Just a silly little tidbit to help make life a bit easier ... and something I found right on the side of the box.
Betty Crocker gets the credit for this one. Go figure!

Hi Suz - thanks for stopping at my blog. I do something similar for muffins. I use a large fruit scoop from Pampered Chef. It is just the right amount to fill them a little over halfway. I got that tip at a party.
I do this as well, and it works like a charm! I also use a scoop for cookies, and everything comes out the same size. I have the Pampered Chef scoops, and I can use a larger or smaller one depending on how many cupcakes (or whatever) I need to get out of that batch.
I've used a mini-scoop for cookies, but never thought about the muffins before. Thanks ladies for your input :)
What a great idea. I never thought of that before. I always get mad when my cupcakes turn out different sizes (yeah I'm a little OCD that way).
:)
