Meijer... mperks Program

If you ever shop at Meijer, you should join their new mperks program!
They have great coupons & it's easy to use.

mperks works like the electronic coupons in that you sign up online and log-in to access the coupons that you want.  Instead of loading them to your store card, they ask you for your cell phone number.  Because of this, you do have to have a phone that works with texting.

After you've signed up, loaded your coupons, it's time to go shopping.  When you get to the checkout, you enter your cell phone number at the touchscreen (assuming you use the self check out lane) and it will automatically apply any coupons that work with your purchased items.

So far I've enjoyed getting some great discounts.  You can print your coupon list, or email it to yourself to carry with you if your phone has email capabilities.  I tend to just load the coupons I think I might use, carry my coupon box with me for my paper coupons, and just get the savings if I happen to buy those items on my list.

I have been pleasantly surprised with the program recently.  I hadn't loaded coupons in awhile and got a text message from the program saying there were two great coupons available for me.  One was something like $10 off of $80, the other $5 off of your next purchase.  I loaded them and went shopping a few days later.  To my surprise it took off both coupons since my initial total was over $80.

I've since gotten an email telling me that there was another similar coupon available to me!  It's like free grocery money!

When I first signed up I was afraid I'd get multiple texts from them, but I've been pleasantly surprised that I only get a few & they are worth knowing about usually.

I haven't yet tried to use the program through a regular checkout lane, but assume that you would just have to tell the cashier you wanted to use your mperks.  Will have to do that soon.

Don't forget to check out their mealbox coupons as well before you go shopping at Meijer for even more coupons you can use there.  These coupons can be used with other manufacturer coupons, or stacked.  Check out the Meijer 101 to the right for details in how they work.

Want even more coupons for Meijer?  Check out their partnership with Coupon Cabin  and get even more for your shopping there.

Swagbucks.... Love 'em!

Search & Win

I've been using Swagbucks for searching for awhile and love 'em!
Why?

You get points, or they call them Swagbucks, for various things that you can redeem for prizes or gift cards.  How do you get these bucks?

  • get "bucks" every day just for logging onto their site
  • use their search engine, which is powered by Google, and get random Swagbucks for various values
  • complete surveys on their site
  • browse their site and you will often get "bucks"
  • make purchases through the site
  • trade in an old cell phone you're no longer using
After you've accumulated some points, take a look and see what they offer that you'd like to have, or if you're like me, take a gander first so you know how much you need to save up.

I personally like to save up for $5 Amazon gift cards.  They cost 450 "bucks" each and you can claim 5 a month.  If you are earning more points than that, they have larger valued Amazon cards as well, but the $5 ones are the most value for your Swagbucks.

I have been wanting to order the Zumba set on Amazon and finally decided to do it... loved it the couple of times I tried it in the gym, but want to get more comfortable before going back to the gym for it.  Plus, I look forward to being able to do it at home without having to get out in the snow this winter!  I used the Amazon cards I'd saved up from doing Swagbucks and got myself $25 off the price of the set... I also know if I end up not using the dvd's, I can easily sell them for what they're worth on ebay right now... so win/win for me if they don't work for me.

I'm Baacckkkk!

Wow... the days go by!  You can see from the dates from my last post to here that I have been absent for awhile.  Life has a crazy way of changing & I've been so busy with family and new projects that I've neglected to post here in a long, long time!

Hubby and I have become interested in real estate and have made some purchases which require lots of elbow grease... to say the least.  It's taken a lot of my time because we have been doing the majority of the work ourselves.

I will be making a few changes here to link you to the places I refer to on a regular basis to try and get the best deals at the grocery and drug stores.  I also hope to begin posting things aside from those for you that I've found to be a good deal as well.

So... I'm hoping you will come along and join me for my life adventures.  Who knows, maybe I'll post some pictures of our new projects too.

Pinecone Research...

If you've never been a member of a research company,
here's one you might want to try...

Pinecone Research pays $3 for each survey that you qualify for and complete, they also enter you into sweepstakes. I've tried several survey companies only to find out that I would normally get through the pre-question part of a survey and never qualify. At Pinecone Research I qualify much of the time and the surveys are easy, although sometimes asking repetitive information which can get annoying.

They are a reputable company that pays either by check or Paypal and there is no minimum account balance before they pay you, they pay after each survey you complete.

The difficult thing about Pinecone is getting in. They rarely put out an advertisement online looking for more participants, and you have to know where to find these.

Right now they are offering current members the opportunity to invite friends and family to participate. Since I'm a current member of Pinecone, I have the ability to invite you to be a part of Pinecone Research.

Want to get started?

Here's a link to their registration pageKeep in mind that only one person per household/address can register.   You'll want to hurry too...  they often have a limited number of spaces available and they fill up quickly!

Hello....

I've been away for some time, I know.
Life has proved to be crazy and I have chosen family time over blogging time.

I'm still doing deals myself and hope to pick up and start at posting some here again, time permitting.

I also may share a bit more crafting, gardening, and some of our family adventures here as well.  Posting just deals has gotten a bit boring for me which is probably another reason my blog posting has slipped in the recent weeks.

Please check back to see what's going on... I'd love to have your continued visits!
